Glenn Robert Kalish, age 81, of Janesville passed away at his home on Monday, May 7, 2018 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 17, 1936 in Barneveld, WI, the son of Clyde and Alice (Swenson) Kalish. They moved to Dodgeville, WI where Glenn attended public schools. He married Gladys Wienkes on May 10, 1958 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Highland, WI. They became the proud parents of five children, Timothy, Randall, Michelle, Brenda and Carla. Glenn worked as a farm worker in the Dodgeville area for 10 years. They then moved to Clinton, WI and Glenn was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Belvidere, IL for 26 years before retiring to Lake Wisconsin where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Glenn and Gladys spent winters in St. Cloud, FL where he enjoyed planting and growing flowers and vegetables. He really enjoyed his outings with the guys out catfishing and was really happy when he caught a few big ones! Glenn was a member of St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Janesville and Local # 1268 of Belvidere, IL

Glenn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gladys, son, Randall (Lisa) Kalish of Janesville, daughters, Michelle (Mark) Nenneman and Brenda (Thomas) Thomsen both of Clinton, WI, Carla (Stephen) Winger of Prairie du Chien, WI, 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, his sister, Lucille Cummings of Whitewater, WI. He was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Kalish, his parents, brothers, Merle Kalish and Vernon Kalish, brothers-in-law, Vernard Wienkes, Gerald Wienkes, Douglas Jenks, Dennis Brice, Donald Weeden, sisters-in-law Mary Jenks and Nancy Brice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, Janesville. Father Paul Ugo Arinze will preside. Burial will be in the Clinton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 10th at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home , 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville.
